python-gammu 2.8 has been just released. Bugfix release bringing better compatibility with Unicode and simplification of calls API.

python-gammu 2.7 has been just released. New python-gammu is out, the only change is support for latest Gammu.

Sustainable development of Gammu
Development of tools within Gammu family does not really go well in last few years. This is mostly due to lack of time of project maintainer. But you can help to change it!
The obvious way to help is to fund Gammu development. Gammu and especially SMSD is used in many commercial environments and giving something back will help everybody. You don't have to spend huge amount, every dollar counts and will help in building sustainable environment.
